• Grew up in Northfield, MN
• Alumnus of Saint Olaf College
• Intentional returnee to Northfield after cliché post-collegiate urban period
• Habitual employee of small businesses since 1980
• Consistently unmarried for 37 years, not that it's anybody else's business.
