Guns

I am not going to try pathetically to impress anybody with phony pictures of me pretending to be an 'outdoorsman.' The last time I went hunting was at least a quarter-century ago. I do not own a gun, but that is more a matter of spending priorities than ideology. I would be more likely to consider going hunting if the whole ordeal took maybe two hours instead of a whole weekend.

I do not believe that you need to be a member of a 'well-regulated militia' to have the right to keep and bear arms. The gun control issue is brought up repeatedly by well-meaning, and perfectly nice and only slightly condescending transplant urbanites, who imagine that their adolescent- imprinted fear of guns has some relevance to us yokels out here in the hinterlands. As your Representative, I would resist attempts to restrict gun ownership.
